Case study: SITA OnAir

Customer issue

SITA OnAir allows airline and cruise ship passengers to use their mobile phones and laptops for calls, text messaging, emails and internet browsing. SITA OnAir, in its drive to improve customer services, wanted to start to deliver value-added services to passengers, via its own connection but under the airline’s own brand and approached ATC to collaborate on a brand new product line for the connected in-flight services of the future.

Our solution

AllTheContent has an acknowledged pioneer position in delivering relevant content to new screens such as mobile (since 2002), IPTV (since 2004) or Digital Signage (2005) in a large number of languages, guided by an interest of innovation and local relevance. To define the type of content, business models and family of product in this industry that evolves were to be defined, AllTheContent worked closely with OnAir and its talented team during 18 months to create new services with new business models to license content in real time in flying aircraft. Since 2013, an always larger amount of SITA OnAir's customers enjoy real-time content on all types of topics, in their local language, while flying at 35'000 feet.

Adapting…

… your current content to bring you closer to your target audience and drive diversification, with translation services in 45 languages with native speaker translators located in the target audience’s country (text, subtitles, voice-overs) or productions taken from your own contents (e.g. production of a video from a text).

Case study: Yahoo (Video)

Customer issue

Yahoo Europe, for its ‘Cinemas’ section, wanted to broadcast videos produced in the United States, but adapt them to the different countries concerned: France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, China and Taiwan. The content, therefore, had to be translated and localised for each culture, all within a very tight timeframe because the content had to be up-to-date. On average, this type of job was required 2 to 3 times a month.

Our solution

AllTheContent was able to handle this project in its entirety. The organisation, which was crucial to meeting the customer’s deadlines, was handled by our production managers. Script localisation was managed by our team of local translators and reviewers. Subtitling was carried out by our video editors at our recording studio.
This is an ongoing joint project and Yahoo relies on us for contracts with very tight deadlines. In September 2014, for the promotion of ‘Sex Tape’, a film starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Siegel, Yahoo contracted us to localise three videos, in six languages, all within 24 hours, with the clock ticking.

Managing…

…complete services, with turnkey solutions, allowing the full outsourcing of the production of a page, column or entire media company. We can also manage your service providers and offer full operational readiness to meet your current and future needs.

Case study: Babymag

Customer issue

Babymag.ch is the top Swiss magazine for parents of young children (0-6 years). It is published in two national languages, sold at newsstands throughout Switzerland and distributed free of charge to a wide range of private healthcare partners.

Press group QUORUM COM / PROMOEDITIONS bought the magazine in 2012 and wanted to boost its editorial quality, by making its content more fit for purpose, upgrading its image quality and improving its localisation to the two main linguistic regions of Switzerland. This was no easy matter, as in-house employees were already fully committed to other projects. Nor was any local agency or group of outsourced editors in a position to take it on, given the scope of the undertaking. This project involved edition (selecting topics, producing drafts, proofreading), multimedia (photo shoots, graphic design, DTP), organisation (appearance as editor-in-chief, attendance at events, production of trial products) and logistics (casting children, maintaining relationships with trading partners, routing).

Our solution

AllTheContent took charge of all content production, from the draft stage to graphic design, including images and fashion shoots. We worked with a talent pool of well-chosen experts which we brought in from outside, to be managed by one of our project managers in direct and ongoing communication with the customer. Our agency handled the entire production process on a regular basis, designing the approach we finally adopted, organising interviews with specialists, casting children, delivering immaculate images for the magazine cover, producing the magazine by DTP, creating customised graphics, translating it into the two national languages and proofreading every page to sign it off as ‘print ready’. On a more occasional basis, we also contributed to the website, produced promotional content and designed the new magazine layout adopted throughout 2014.

Case study: A swiss leader in classifieds

Customer issue

GHI is a long-standing leader in classified advertisements in the Canton of Geneva, and Lausanne Cité, in the Lausanne region. In a market where all the leading players agree that paper-based, general-purpose classified ads are destined to die out, ATC approached GHI to offer its advisory services and share with this press group our vision of the future for this particular sector of the press.

Our solution

Our solution is as easy to describe as it is difficult to implement: spend less while maintaining, or even improving quality, and finding other sources of revenue through diversification. To make this solution a reality, we came up with a number of ideas addressing these two challenges. In terms of cost reduction, we showed how it was possible to outsource a large proportion of the production process without altering the magazine's editorial policy, Our route towards diversification included product line extensions (video advertising, branded content), website monetisation tools and also suggestions for new services: special issues, events and club projects,

In addition to providing a genuine comprehensive yet time-limited advisory service, we can also support our customers on an ongoing basis in the implementation of strategic plans that we have designed. We want to work with you on a long-term basis and therefore, in the case of certain projects, we are prepared to make part of our remuneration dependent on the success of particular strategies.

In addition to offering consulting services, complete but time-limited, we are able to support our clients on a daily basis. We can manage the implementation of strategic planning. We also offer a long-term partnership solution, for specific projects we can index some of our remunerations on the success of the defined and agreed upon strategies.

Client problem

During the 2014 Football World Cup, the Beats, a high-end headphones brand ran a major advertising campaign on the Yahoo portal. World Cup news, web traffic generators and on the spot advertising. This campaign was broadcasted on all of Yahoo’s European sites throughout the duration of the World Cup, hence, the web portal had to be translated from English to four European languages (French, Italian, German and Spanish) in a short period for the content to remain relevant.

Our solution

AllTheContent mobilised its global translators' network for the duration of the World Cup. Until the 13th of July, the last game, over 21 articles were published in the four European languages.
