Leading Swedish VOD provider, Ameibo-The Content Bay just licensed a large part of ATC's VOD library. Sales are starting in September.

As an online video rental/purchase company, Ameibo proposes standard online VOD services and allows users to earn money for legally sharing the movies, both directly on Ameibo.com and the site TheContentBay.com. Based on bit-torrent technologies, the service is 100% legal and provides a mass of compelling content to worldwide audiences.

After some first discussions earlier this spring, Ameibo has inked a long-term deal with AllTheContent.com to take on-board a large part of the VOD content libraries."We were really convinced by the wealth of content, especially with the lessons, extreme sports and soft erotic collections" explains Ted Sahlstrom, International Content Manager of Ameibo AB.

"We truly see VOD appears as the central revenue driver for future non-linear TV  and video consumption" explains Clement Charles, CEO of AllTheContent.com, adding that "Ameibo has a great success potential because of the large scope of the proposed catalogue, the wide number of devices were content can be enjoyed and the various options of viral sales enabled by their innovative technology approach".

Providing the movies of more than 30 different content owners, ATC delivers the files with a tailor-made encoding and in-depth metadata. After a first batch of 250 titles, more updates shall follow soon and made available to worldwide paying audiences.
